Sally M Mbah: A Journey of Compassion and Purpose

I am Sally M Mbah, born in Bamenda, Cameroon on September 13, 1972. In 2002, I embarked on a new chapter, relocating to the United States. Since then, I’ve devoted myself as a dedicated volunteer with organizations such as Feed the Children, Food for the Poor, Children Internal Network, and Solidarity Orphanage in Cameroon.

Growing up in Cameroon and later traveling to the West Indies as a volunteer profoundly impacted my perspective. It revealed the stark disparities in privilege and highlighted the harsh realities faced by the underprivileged, orphans, and homeless children. This revelation ignited a deep-seated passion within me to make a difference.

Through my Champion page, I’ve been able to spread the message of unity and raise funds to support those in need, near and far. The pressing need for essentials like food, water, education, healthcare, and basic survival is undeniable and urgent.

Since 2020, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Solidarity Orphanage in Bamenda, Cameroon. The mission has been nothing short of fulfilling. The stories and smiles captured in pictures are priceless. In January 2022, I took a step further, personally covering school fees at Ngomgham Catholic Primary School and providing essential food items.

This journey is deeply rooted in the realities of life in West Africa, a place that continues to reside vividly in my heart and mind. It’s a place where I’ve witnessed firsthand the daily struggles of those living in impoverishment. It’s my calling, my aspiration, to lend a helping hand.

In the words of Philippians 4:12, “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.” Amen.

I am grateful to have found this purpose, and I’m committed to seeing it through. Together, let us make a difference and bring hope to those in need.
